Handwriting in SPELL Part 1
New handwriting content to help students strengthen letter formation alongside their spelling knowledge.
New and improved student activities
More opportunities to practise, consolidate and apply learning, with practical resources ready for teachers to use.
Partner dictation in Launch
Coming in 2027: structured partner dictation activities that give students additional opportunities to practise reading, spelling and writing together.
Advanced SPELL modules
Deeper word study, morphology, vocabulary and writing, with connections to other Key Learning Areas. Help students apply their word knowledge to the language they encounter across the curriculum.
Simpler assessments and spreadsheets
Updated, easier-to-implement tools to help teachers identify starting points, monitor progress and plan what to teach next.
