Little Learners Love Literacy is an explicit and sequential literacy program. The following Teaching Resources support teachers to teach ALL children to read, write and spell with confidence.

Speed Sounds and Chants are used in conjunction with the Pip and Tim, Wiz Kids and Big World Decodable Readers to make it easy for ALL children to learn to read. Each stage is sequentially taught so that children can learn, apply and practise their developing skills in words and connected text.

The Teacher Resource Manuals give teachers tools and strategies for successfully teaching spelling and writing using explicit teaching and games and activities. And, Small Group Reading Notes give teachers tools and strategies for successfully teaching spelling and writing using explicit teaching and games and activities.

Speed Sounds & Chants

The Speed Sounds and Chants provides a mnemonic for teaching and remembering the graphemes in the Little Learners Love Literacy phonics sequence for reading and spelling.

The Display Set is perfect for whole class demonstration and the Classroom Set is for daily speed sounds and small group work.

Each set contains cards with graphemes on one side and a mnemonic on the other. The mnemonic chants and illustrations include all your favourite Milo Monkey characters as well as Pip and Tim from Stage Plus 4 onwards.
