Supporting children and adults with specific learning difficulties

Sounds Write

Sounds~Write© is an exciting and highly successful approach to the teaching of reading, spelling and writing utilising a linguistic phonic approach. Sounds-Write has put together a selection of decodable readers and teaching resources to support the implementation of the Sounds-Write program.

Sounds-Write has made available the first 7 units of the Sounds-Write program through this free "Help Your Child to Read and Write" course to help parents and carers support their children in developing reading and spelling skills.

Sounds Write First Steps

These simple decodable books allow children to practise the skills and code knowledge they are learning while taking their first steps into reading. These books are matched to the Sounds-Write Initial and Extended Code and can be used as part of phonics instruction, or to strengthen and consolidate the skills and code knowledge students have already learned.

Sounds Write Readers Initial Phonic Code

These decodable readers will enable children to practice the literacy skills they are learning through Sounds Write and help them gain fluency in reading, all while they enjoy the colourfully-illustrated stories.
