A full day of practical professional learning for your staff, delivered at your school.
Teachers build their understanding of explicit spelling instruction and learn how to use SPELL to plan and deliver lessons, support student practice and monitor progress.
The usual training day would be half a day on K-2, half a day on 3-6 and then an intervention session in the afternoon for an hour as an option.
Include the Parent information session for just $200 on the same day.
High Schools and Intervention Clinics SPELL + half-day training
Program subscription + $2,800
Focused training for staff supporting older students or providing targeted spelling intervention.
The session helps staff identify an appropriate starting point and use SPELL resources to address gaps in students’ spelling knowledge.

SPELL + Learn Partnership
Program subscription + $4,595 for 12 months
Combine SPELL with 12 months of online professional learning for all staff.
This package includes SPELL on-demand training alongside the broader SPELD NSW Learn professional learning library.
Staff can complete training at a time that suits them, revisit content as they implement the program and use selected learning together in staff meetings or team planning.

SPELL @ SPELD NSW is a comprehensive whole school and intervention spelling program.
Each Part includes one year of instructional content.
- Launch – phonics, spelling, morphology, handwriting and fluency for Kindergarten/ Foundation and Intervention!
- Part One – Common long vowel spellings, key orthographic generalisations (FLOSS, ck, tch etc), suffixing rules, homophones and introduction to high frequency pre-fixes and suffixes.
- Part Two – Less frequent long vowel spellings, poly-syllabic words, homophones, high frequency pre-fixes and suffixes and the application of the suffixing rules.
- Core Morphology – condenses the morphology content of Parts One and Two into one year of instructional content for schools who have already completed significant phonics spelling instruction and would like to give their students the benefit of explicit morphology spelling instruction. Schools who have completed significant amounts of phonics instruction can complete Core Morphology instead of Parts One and Two.
- Part Three – Advanced orthographic generalisations, complex poly-syllabic and multi-morphemic words, homophones, and advanced prefixes and suffixes and bound bases.
- Part Four – Advanced orthographic generalisations, complex poly-syllabic and multi-morphemic words, homophones, and advanced prefixes and suffixes and bound bases.
- Advanced- Explicit word study units that support deep vocabulary knowledge and bridges between explicit spelling instruction and writing across the curriculum.
Schools can implement SPELL @ SPELD NSW from Kindergarten to Year 6 and/or as a high school and adult spelling intervention program. The program begins with Launch in Kindergarten, supporting the development of strong foundations in phonics and language. Schools may begin implementation at the year level that best aligns with the phonics and morphology instruction already in place.
SPELL @ SPELD NSW can also be used in small group and one-on-one intervention for students working on phonics, morphology and spelling skills. Advice is provided in the program about which Part to start using with your students based on prior phonics and morphology instruction!
