Help Your School, Organisation or Community Be Dyslexia Aware This October

Dyslexia affects people of all ages, in schools, workplaces and throughout the wider community. Yet it is still often misunderstood.

During Dyslexia Awareness Month, SPELD NSW is making it easier for schools, businesses and community organisations to build greater understanding through our new Be Dyslexia Aware webinar.

Practical information for your community

This accessible webinar explores what dyslexia is and how it can affect learning, work and everyday life.

Participants will learn about:

  • Possible signs of dyslexia
  • Common strengths and challenges experienced by people with dyslexia
  • The impact dyslexia can have at school, at work and in everyday situations
  • Simple ways to create more understanding, inclusive and supportive environments

Share it with your school, workplace or organisation

The webinar is designed to be shared with staff, families, clients, volunteers and members of the wider community.

Whether you are a school supporting students and families, a workplace seeking to improve inclusion or a community organisation wanting to raise awareness, Be Dyslexia Aware provides practical information that can help people respond with greater understanding and confidence.

By purchasing the webinar, your organisation will also support SPELD NSW’s work to make literacy support and reliable information accessible to more people.

Be Dyslexia Aware will be available from 1 October.

Pre-purchase your access today and help create a more dyslexia-aware community.
