Heather joined SPELD NSW in 2021 as the Assessments and Office Administrator. Heather was first introduced to the work of SPELD NSW when she was a teacher in relation to Professional Learning and through her roles within school learning support teams.
SPELD’s work is important to me because it provides a much needed avenue of support to individuals, families and teachers in the area of learning difficulties.
I enjoy working for not for profit organisations because helping people is the main focus of all we do and the team all have a common goal which makes the job very rewarding.
Heather is currently studying a Masters of Counselling and looking forward to supporting the SPELD NSW team and families seeking assessments.
