Our Holiday Newsletter for Parents and Families is now available, sharing practical ideas and resources to support children with literacy and numeracy difficulties over the school break.
The holidays are a valuable time for children to rest and recharge, and learning doesn’t need to feel like school. In this edition, we’ve focused on holiday learning ideas that are fun, flexible and easy to add into everyday routines, helping children maintain confidence and skills without pressure.
You’ll also find links to our Parents Hub, a dedicated section of the SPELD NSW website designed to support parents and carers. The Parents Hub includes clear information, practical guidance and trusted resources to help you better understand and support your child’s learning needs.
Our offices have now re-opened following a short break, and we look forward to supporting families throughout 2026.
If you’re a parent or carer, we hope this newsletter provides reassurance and useful next steps. Teachers, educators and allied health professionals are welcome to share these resources with the families they work with.
