The Spotlight: NEW Decodable Book Selector for NSW Department of Education GPC Instructional Sequence

SPELD NSW has published a new Decodable Book Selector for the NSW Department of Education GPC Instructional Sequence which includes some suggested adjustments that can be made to the order of introduction of GPCs to enable schools to organise their decodable books more easily.

We often get requests from schools that are using the NSW Department of Education GPC Instructional Sequence in their phonics lessons for advice on organising their decodable reader resources in a manner that best aligns with the instructional sequence.  SPELD NSW has already published a Decodable Book Selector for the NSW Department of Educational GPC Instructional Sequence and now has published this new Decodable Book Selector to make it even easier for schools using the NSW Department of Educational GPC Instructional Sequence to align their decodable book resources.

This new Decodable Book Selector suggests some minor adjustments to the order of introduction of GPCs in the Instructional Sequence (highlighted in red) to allow for the easy organisation of decodable book resources from a range of high-quality and popular decodable book series.  Check it out today!
