Professional Learning

Are you a teacher, tutor, speech pathologist or psychologist looking for professional learning opportunities? SPELD NSW provides professional learning for teachers and professionals who work with students with specific learning difficulties or who are interested in evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction.

Our workshops focus on evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction and best-practice approaches to teach and support students with specific learning difficulties like dyslexia.  Workshops are suitable for classroom teachers, learning support teachers and teachers’ aides, tutors, speech pathologists and other allied health professionals.

Professional Learning workshops are held at SPELD NSW in Parramatta, Newcastle or other regional centres or run as a whole-school professional learning workshop at your school. Evening workshops are also available across NSW as live webinars.

In response to the impact of COVID-19 in our community, SPELD NSW is currently offering online professional learning.  You can also register your interest in future professional learning workshops and to receive updates from SPELD NSW.
