Audio Books and Stories

Audio Books and Stories

Audiobooks and stories are an accessible way for children with learning difficulties to enjoy reading, and develop listening skills, vocabulary and comprehension.

  • Vision Australia has an audio library that people can join if they have a visual perceptual difficulty (e.g. diagnosed dyslexia).  It is a free service for members where audio books can be borrowed and returned online.

  • Storyline Online, age for children in grades K to 3 is an award-winning children’s literacy website which streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations.

  • Epic is an e-Library that provides access to high-quality children’s books and educational videos for children 12 years old and under. It includes fiction and non-fiction books. It is free for one book a day or by subscription.
